THE SHALOM HEALTH PLAN
At Light of Life Veterinary Clinic and Services, we believe that regular health maintenance and preventative health care is very important to ensure that your pet remains healthy and happy.
Therefore, we have designed a unique format for a preventative health care plan which will ensure that these valuable and special companions can enjoy personalised and quality health care. At the same time, you will have a peace of mind that your pet will be managed by a professional veterinary team.
Our preventative health care plan - SHALOM HEALTH PLAN (SHP) – is tailored specifically to the need of individual pet based on its unique body health conditions and lifestages.
SHP is not a pet insurance, but is very similar to a health package for people.
With pet insurance, you pay a monthly premium, and then if your pet has an illness or injury that is covered by the plan and approved by the insurance company, the insurance company pays for some or all of the medical cost. You pay out-of-pocket for normal routine health care, and insurance kicks in only when an accident or injury occurs.
SHP is a package where the fee is “spent” during the course of the year for normal, preventative health care. The package is unique because it can be tailored to accommodate the need of virtually any pet at any age with any health condition. ^
The package generally includes regular COMPREHENSIVE PHYSICAL CHECKS, STAY-IN-TOUCH CONSULTATIONS, various lab tests, vaccinations, regular dental cleanings, free routine ear cleanings and discounts on any needed medications or extra procedures if an unexpected health problem occurs. Other health care services or procedures are added in according to the need of the individual pet.*
The main aim of SHP is to prevent diseases through:

Early detection of irregularities before they lead to expensive treatment(s)

Scheduled regular physical checks and procedures at the appropriate time to ensure optimum health.
^ Pet must be checked by our veterinarian and be approved by LOLVET management before any recommendation/plan can be created.
